The U.S. Department of Energy intends to award a sole source contract to ISI, 3501 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104 for commercial timesharing services. This contract will provide Internet access to a scientific and technical database that contains journal articles abstracts in at least the scientific fields of Biochemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Material Science, Engineering, Geosciences, Metallurgy, Cell Biology, Energy/Fuels, Neuroscience, Physics, Microbiology, Mathematics and Computer Science. The proposed contract is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. This is a notice of intent and not a request for proposal. Interested parties that feel they can provide these services may respond by submitting their capability statement to the address in this notice, including prices. All submissions must be received within ten (10) days of the publication date of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. See Note(s): 10-11 *****
