Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number N00164-01-R-0060 is hereby issued as a request for proposals (RFP). Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-22. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 332992 and the size standard is 1000 employees. The Government intends to into a Sole Source contract with Black Hills Ammunition, Inc. This is because of the extensive testing and approvals necessary to allow specific ammunition into government service. Black Hills item has already undergone testing and approval. The requirement is for the following: CLIN 0001 quantity 300,000 each 223 Cal Match Ammunition in accordance with Government Specification and Statement of Work for 223 Caliber Match ammunition. Delivery will be required within 45 days after contract award, and shall be FOB destination, inspection and acceptance will also be at destination. This will be a firm fixed price contract and will be awarded utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The contractors shall extend to the Government the full coverage of commercial sale warranty provided such warranty is available at no additional cost to the Government.
