Description

The U.S. Army TACOM-ARDEC is seeking qualified producers for production of 61,000 M783 Fuzes with one option for 10,000 to 60,000 Fuzes to be delivered beginning in December 2001. The M783 is a materiel change version of the M734A1 Multi-Option Fuze. This fuze is intended for use on the following Mortar Ammunition: 60mm M768 High Explosive (HE), M722A1 White Phosphorous (WP) Smoke, 81mm M889A2 HE, and 120mm M933 HE Rounds. This market survey is for planning purposes only, does not constitute an RFP and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. Interested firms with experience in manufacturing of electromechanical, point detonating and delay fuzing should provide, at no cost to the Government, a summary of their firm s capabilities. As a minimum, the following information should be provided via email: company name with address, point of contact identification with electronic mail (email) and telephone number, personnel, company capabilities, storage facilities, successful experience in manufacturing, loading, assembling and packing similar ammunition, and whether the company is large or small business. All responding sources must email responses no later than fifteen (15) days after date of this announcement to the attention of Tom Crowley, email: tcrowley@pica.army.mil.
