Description

DESC: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District, has a competitive requirement for all labor, material, equipment and plant to fabricate and install four (4) spillway gate hoists for McNary Lock and Dam, Umatilla, Oregon. The spillway gate hoists are mounted on structural steel frames approximately 60 feet long. The hoist capacities and design criteria are as follows: (a) hoist rated capacity 350 kips, (b) full load lifting speed 11 +/- 1 inches per minute, (c) hoist maximum lift 20 feet, 4 inches, (d) normal hoist lift 20 feet, (e) power 480 Volt, 3 Phase, (f) minimum rope bending diameter 30 times rope diameter on drum 18 on sheaves, (g) hoist controls up and down, single speed with automatic stopping at 1 foot increments, and (h) hoist frame designed to span the gate opening in the desk, and fit on the existing leveling plates. PROCUREMENT: 100% set aside for small business. Size standard for identification of small business concerns under NAICS code 421830 is that the average employment, based on the number of persons employed on a full-time, part-time, temporary, or other basis during each of the pay periods of the preceding 12 months, shall not exceed 100 employees. This is not a request for bids, but notice that our intention is to issue a solicitation for this requirement. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which will be considered by this agency.
