Description

NASA/GSFC plans to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ)228-21599-709 for Item 1, Transformer, pad mounted, 2 each; Item 2, Switchgear, pad mounted, 1 each; Item 3, Voltage Regulator, single phase, 3 each; Item 4, Switch, Regulator, by-pass, single phase manual, 3 each; Item 5, Modular Enclosure, to enclose item 3 and above, 1 each; Item 6, Cable, URD, copper, 1500 ft.; Item 7, Terminator for regulators, 6 each; Item 8, Terminator, for by-pass switches, 6 each. Drawings and specifications will be issued with the Request for Quotation. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR PART 12. The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 334416 and 500, respectively. The DPAS Rating for this procurement is DO C9. The anticipated release date of RFQ 228-21599-709 to all requestors is on or about April 17, 2001, with an anticipated quote due date of all quotes to this office on or about May 2, 2001. All qualified responsible sources may request a copy of the request for quotation. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See NASA Specific Note "B". Oral communications ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE.
