Description

The Defense Supply Service, on behalf of the Joint Staff in the Pentagon, Washington, DC, is issuing this combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. Quotations are hereby requested. This solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quotation DASW01-01-Q-8629. This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-23. This solicitation is contains no set asides. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 541519. The services listed will support the Chairman, Joint Chiefs of Staff, The Office of the Chairman, and The Joint Staff for all automated information systems equipment and services. Support services were previously provided under a contract with DYNCORP. 1. SCOPE: This contract is for Microsoft Level D Enterprise Premier support of the period of one year with an anticipated start date on or about 2 April 2001. 2. GOVERNMENT POINTS OF CONTACT (POCs): The name, telephone number, and address of the Government POC for this contract will be provided upon award. 3. SECURITY REQUIREMENTS: None. 4. SUBCONTRACTING POSSIBILITIES: None contemplated. 5. DELIVERABLES AND SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS: The deliverable required is one Microsoft Level D Enterprise Premier support package. The customer requires direct telephonic access, with no intermediaries, to Microsoft technical support personnel 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. The required Premier support includes: 200 Technical Account Manager Hours, 45 Incidents, 4 Named Contact Premier IDs, 1 Shared Group ID, 1 Shared Service Desk content only ID, 1 Single Server TechNet Plus subscription, 1 MSDN Universal subscription, and 1 TAM On-Site Visit (2 day visit). Delivery address: Specific address will be provided in the contract; however, the customer is located in the Pentagon, Washington, DC. DESCRIPTION OF LINE ITEMS: CLIN 0001 Microsoft Level D Enterprise Premier Support Package APPLICABLE PROVISIONS: FAR 212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-2, Evaluation Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items with their Offers; FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders Commercial Items (includes the following: 52.222-26, 52,222-35, 52.222-36, 52.232-1, 52.232-33, 52.222-21, 52.222-37), and 52.252-1 with reference of http://www.arnet.gov/far. The Government will award a Firm Fixed Price purchase order resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offering the best value to the Government considering these evaluation factors, listed in descending order of importance: (1) technical capability of the item offered to meet the Government's requirement, including direct access to Microsoft technical support personnel; (2) price; and (3) past performance. Technical and past performance, when combined, are more important than price in accordance with FAR 52-212-2. No oral quotes will be honored.
