- Description
- The U. S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center has a requirement for Repair, inspection, testing , preservation, packaging and delivery of NSN 2010-01-030-4824 Wing Tail Shaft Length: 57'5", Weight: 180,000 lbs., Flange O.D. 1- 62", Base diameter -34", and NSN 2010-01-030-4825, 400' WAGB Polar Class Center Tail Propulsion Shaft, Length -- 70'5", Weight -- 193,000 lbs., Flange O.D. -- 62", Max. shaft diameter -- 34", in accordance with U. S. Coast Guard specifications and drawings. There is a requirements type contract for a base year and four (4) option years. Tests and inspections: Liquid Penetrant Method in accordance with T9074-AS-GIB-010/271, penetrant group III and MIL-S-23284A, Appendix A; Magnetic Particle and Ultrasonic Testing shall be performed in accordance with T9074-AS-GIB-010/271 and MIL-S-23284A Appendix A; Dimensional inspection outlining areas requiring any build up, welding and/or machining; Container Condition and estimate for repairs, if any, to bring into compliance with MIL-DTL-2845E level A; Each fiber glass covering hall be spark tested in accordance with MIL-STD-2199 section 5.6.1.;Each shaft shall be dimensionally inspected for conformance to the applicable drawings and U.S. Coast Guard Specification R-243-0362. Any shaft that has been welded shall be inspected for cracks and other defects by magnetic-particle or liquid-penetrant method in accordance with T9074-AS-GIB-010/271 and MIL-S-23284A, Appendix A. Delivery location is uncertain at this time but will be known upon issuance of the solicitation. ATTENTION: Minority, Women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs)! The Department of Transportation (DOT), Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
