Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only synopsis. A quotation is being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number F34612-01-T0086 is hereby issued as a Request for Quotation. The incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-23. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for Small Business and is under NAICS code 421440, with a small business size standard of 500. Requirement consists of one (1) each freestanding "Light Emitting Diode (LED) Message Board," to be configured as follows: 68" -- 74" in height(including base,) approximately 18 -- 24" wide, and 3- 6 " deep. The height of the display portion shall be approximately 32" in height, (approximately 40 inches from lowest portion) and to have 8 rows with characters 1.25" -- 1.5" in height. Construct must be have a single base. Display portion must have approximately 6" above uppermost and 6" below lowermost LED row of empty space for insertion of a logo of commensurate size. The glass, covering the display portion, must be anti-glare. The LEDs used must be UL and CE approved, color: green. Minimum 8 foot power cord must be incorporated; This message board shall be configured so as to run off of standard household voltage. Message Board must be able to interface electronically with Windows NT compatible software via a Local Area Network. Said software, with license, must be included with the Message Board. Message Board must also be capable of being programmed via a hand-held keyboard, to be included with the Message Board. Message Board must be capable of storing and automatically displaying at least 99 'pages' of information. Each of the 8 rows of LEDs shall display a minimum of 20 characters each, which must be visible from at least 60'. The curvature of the Message Board must provide a viewing angle of 160 degrees. Message Board shall be housed in Aluminum, coated with a scratch resistant powder paint, color: Charcoal Grey. Circuitry must be solid state. It is incorporated by reference and applies to this acquisition. It is amended to read: Submit signed and dated offer to 97 CONS/LGCA, 205 s. 6th St Bldg. 318, Altus AFB, OK 73523-5147 at or before 1630 (4:30 p.m.) CST, 30 March 2001. Submit signed and dated quotations on company letterhead or quotation form complete with color brochure or color samples/swatches. Quotations may be faxed to (580) 481-7472. The government reserves the right to make award without discussions. FAR clause 52.212-4 (May 1999), Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, is incorporated by reference and applies to this acquisition with the following addendum: DFARS 252.204-7004 Required Central Contractor Registration (Mar 1998). The clause at 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items (Sep 1999) applies to this acquisition and is incorporated by reference.
