Description

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) contemplates awarding a fixed price, performance based, contract to operate a centralized receiving warehouse and stores operation including an intra agency shuttle service. The services shall include but is not limited to: 1) maintenance of a stores stock inventory of approximately 1500 line items; 2) receipt and delivery of supplies and equipment for direct use; 3) maintain transhipping offices as receiving points at Clifton Road and Chamblee facilities for receipt of expedited shipments of specimens and refrigerated items; 4) fill requisitions from stock items; 5) maintain inventory locator system; 6) deliver supplies and equipment; 7) pick-up and store excess equipment; 8)operate/maintain short-term storage area; 9) freight consolidation and preparation of bulk shipments, and 10) operate an intra agency shuttle. It is anticipated that the period of performance shall be one-year with options for four (4) successive one-year periods. A pre-proposal conference will be held with prospective offerors at 10:00 A.M. on April 10, 2001 in the Break room at the CDC warehouse located at 4998-C South Royal Atlanta Drive, Tucker, Georgia 30084. All prospective offerors are invited to attend; however, attendance is not mandatory. If you plan on attending this conference, you MUST contact Elmira C. Competition is limited to 8(a) certified firms serviced by the SBA Georgia District Office with NAICS (North American Industry Classification code) is 493110; size standard is $18 million and will be accomplished using commercial procedures.
