Description

The Program Support Center, Division of Acquisition Management intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, with nine (9) National Centers of Excellence in Women's Health Contractors to extend the contracts twelve (12) months. The contract numbers and Contractors are: 282-96-0034, Magee-Womens Hospital; 282-96-0035, MCP Hahnemann University; 282-96-0036, University of Pennsylvania; 282-96-0039, University of California, San Francisco; 282-97-0025, University of California, Los Angeles; 282-97-0071, University of Michigan; 282-97-0072, Wake Forest University; 282-97-0074, Boston University; and 282-97-0075, Indiana University. The National Centers of Excellence in Women's Health contracts were designed to fill a critical need for the provision of state-of-the-art, comprehensive, culturally and linguistically appropriate, and integrated health care services targeted to the special needs of women for the development of a multidisciplinary research agenda on women's health issues and for enhanced public and health care professional education on women's health issues. These extensions will continue to develop and evaluate comprehensive national model program(s), which focus on women's unique needs in the health care delivery system by providing both educational and clinical services to women, and development of a multi-disciplinary research program on women's health linking speciality areas. These extensions have been justified in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(d). This is not a request for proposals. See Note 22.
