- Description
- This requirement is being procured in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and an award will be made in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service intends to issue a Request for Quotations (RFQs) for a Hydrostatic Drive Track Vehicle for the Southeast Louisiana Refuges, in Slidell, LA. The specifications include but are not limited to the following requirements: 174 hp diesel engine; single S control setup to engine throttle; hydraulic pumps and internal hydraulic brake system; 21" belly clearance; eight 6:50 X 16 solid rubber road wheels- wheel hubs rated 20,000 lb.; and 33" wide "thick heavy duty flat bar tracks 12 X 4 ply belting. This is a unrestricted procurement. Tentative Issue date for RFQ is April 3, 2001. A firm fixed price order will be issued with a performance period of 90 days. Award date will be on or about April 30, 2001. The Fish and Wildlife Service is presently using Electronic Commerce (EC) to issue Request for Quotations and Purchase Orders. You must register in EC at web site http://ideasec.nbc.gov. If you have any questions pertaining to this web site, please call 703-390-6633. Prior to registering each company must obtain a Dun and Bradstreet number. You may obtain this number free of charge at web site http://dnb.com. After registration all contractors will be able to view posted solicitations and awards and submit quotes on line. This will be your only means of obtaining this solicitation/award. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Thus, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above Internet address in order to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for receipt of quotes may render your offer nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same. All contractors with access to the Internet and an e-mail address can receive electronic notifications of award. Telephone requests will not be accepted.*****
