Description

The St. Paul District Corps of Engineers is seeking sources for sandbags in anticipation of possible spring flooding in Minnesota, North Dakota, and Wisconsin. Exact quantities, sizes, and delivery sites are unknown. Vendors are requested to provide written information about their sandbags as to type (woven polypropylene and/or burlap), sizes, lead time, country of origin, and prices). Potential buys would be made in accordance with FAR Clause 52.225-1, Buy American Act -- Balance of Payments Program -- Supplies. Vendors are also requested to provide information on their firms, such as mailing address, phone and facsimile number, cell phone number, email address, tax ID number, and business owner status (large or small business -- see NAICS size standard below, small disadvantaged, woman-owned, or HUB-zone). Vendors must be fully registered in the Department of Defense Central Contractors Registration (CCR) database at http://www.ccr2000.com to be considered. The NAICS Code for wholesalers is 422990, size standard -- 100 employees. The NAICS Code for manufacturers is 314911, size standard -- 500 employees. This is a sources sought announcement only.
