Description

Project consists of excavator grapple piling downed residual slash and piling live or dead brush. As used herein, slash means all debris resulting from previous timber sale logging, activity and all material on the ground caused by natural conditions and precommercial thinning which exceeds the minimum dead-down requirements. Project is located in two seperate locations. 1) T.40 N, R.1W, SEC 5; approximately 10 miles East-Northeast of McCloud, CA. 2) T.40 N, R.1W, SEC 3; approximately 2 miles NE of the town of Mt. Shasta, CA., on the Shasta-Trinity National Forest. The project area boundaries are marked with plastic flagging (white with blue polka dots) and system roads. The topography within the project areas range from flat to 35 percent slope with occasional rock outcroppings. Price range is $25,000 to $100,000. Contract time is 100 calendar days with an estimated start date of June 4, 2001.
