Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has a requirement for the fabrication and installation of underground piping for the new cooling tower located at Building 235 in Gaithersburg, Maryland. The contractor is required to provide all material, labor, and equipment to fabricate, install and connect the cooling water pipe lines from the new cooling tower to the existing piping connected to an adjacent existing cooling tower.Complete specifications shall be issued with the Request for Quotation (RFQ). -- F.O.B. Destination, NIST, Gaithersburg, MD -- This requirement is being procured using the simplified procedures identified in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, as supplemented by FAR Part 36, Construction and Architect-Engineer Contracts, and the full solicitation package. -The NAICS for this requirement is 23491 with a size standard of $27.5M. -- The magnitude of construction is anticipated between $25,000 and $100,000. -- All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency. Requests for RFQ packages must be made in writing and may be telefaxed to (301) 963-7732. See Numbered Note 1 and 26.
