Description

FISC Det Phila intends to acquire one 600 ton Garbage collection barge in support of the John F Kennedy's visit to New York CIty during the 2001 Fleet Week Celebration 23 to 30 May 01on a full and open competition basis. The garbage barge shall be delivered to P&O Ports (formerly ITO) Pier 88N and must be positioned alongside the JFK within 2 hours of the JFK's arrival at 1200 on 23 May 01. Approximately 200 cubic yards of household and galley waste will be deposited on the barge per day. The contractor will be responsible for the removal and proper handling of the garbage. The handling of the garbage shall be in accordance with all Federal, State and local regulations that govern such actions. The removal of the garbage barge must be no later than 0600 on 30 May 01. Award of a firm fixed price purchase order will result from this acquisition effort. The SIC code for this procurement action is 483113.
