Description

FISC Det Phila intends to acquire breasting barges in support of the John F. Kennedys visit to New York City during the 2001 Fleet Week Celebration 23 to 30 May 01 on a full and open competition basis. The breasting barge will act as a conduit for movement of equipment and personnel from the JFK's loading dockage elevator and the International Terminal Operating (ITO) pier 88N. The successful offeror will provide all the necessary material and labor to deliver and remove a combination of barges with a minimum dimension of 80' by 300'. Delivery of the breasting barge will be at slack water on 22 May 01, and be removed at the second slack water on 30 May 01. The breasting barge should have a freeboard of no less than 4 feet and not to exceed 8 feet. The barge must be equipped with fenders and mooring lines, and must have a solid flat deck, which is free of trip hazards and foreign substances such as dirt, sand, oil etc. Award of a firm fixed price purchase order will result from this acquisition effort.
