What is the 5ESS office base drawing number? The 5ESS is located in Bldg. 3001 on Tinker AFB. 2. What is the Existing ISDN service? Currently there are approximately 5 BRIs in use with three PRIs being used between a RAS server and 3 PRIs between the command post switch and the 5ESS. 3. Is there an existing SM2K module in the switch? 3a. If so, is there an AIU or ISLU in it? 3b. Is there room to add the line cards in either of those shelves? There is an existing SM-2000 with an AIU in building 3001 with room to add line cards. 4. How much additional capacity for spares, listed under options, is required? These spares may be located in other remote switch modules. 5. Does the switch currently have CENTREX capability and BRCS features? The switch currently has BRCS. 6. Network diagram (or circuit diagram) of existing and proposed configuration. Offices to be tied to a BRI card in the existing switch with approximately 64 of these to have power supplied from a central power supply for ISDN to be provided by this effort. Remainder would have battery back-up and NT1s. 7. Describe what is meant by ringdown cards. 5ESS has ringdown capability. This is to provide ringing circuit for ISDN with one card as spare. 8. After disconnecting the System 75 and associated equipment as well as the Prelude equipment, will the contractor need to dispose of the equipment or will the government take care of disposing or retaining? The government will dispose of the equipment after removal. 9. Solicitation states "66 phones shall be powered from the Central NT1s with bulk power and 27 with individual NT1s with minimum 2 hour battery backup". Does the 2 hour minimum backup power requirement apply to both bulk power and NT1s or just the NT1s? The 2-hour minimum backup power requirement applies to both. 10. Solicitation requests pricing for cordless handsets versus corded handsets. (Cordless handsets will not be available until late fiscal year 2001.) Do you want to wait on the cordless handset or would you want a corded headset instead? We request prices for corded handsets and cordless handsets. If cordless handset pricing is not available, please state this in your proposal.
