Description

Desc: This requirement is being procured in accordance with FAR 13, Acquisition of Commercial Items and an award will be made in accordance with FAR Par 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The U.S. Department of National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL), Pittsburgh, PA 15236, for delivery to our site Albany Research Center, 1450 Queen Ave, SW, Albany, OR 97321, intends to issue a Request for Quotations to procure the following: Gatan Inc, 691 Precision Ion Polishing System or equivalent. The system will include the following: (1) Part Number 691 Precision Ion Polishing System -- 1 each; (2) Part Number 691.12001, Autoterminator -- 1 each; (3) Part Number 691.15180 Service Kit 100-120v -- 1 each; and (4) Part Number 691.08601.FR DuoPost, clamp type, 3 mm. SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS: The systems PIPS must have the combination of high vacuum and low beam single which is required to effectivbely and raidly produce samples from the materials of interest at the Albany Research Center. The proposed purchase order is 100% set-aside for Small Business concerns with a Size Standard of 500 employees. EVALUATION: The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers in order or precedence: Technical compliance with theREQUIREMENTS/SPECIFICATIONS listed above and cost. Written response must clearly state the firms current capabilities including specifications of product lines, pictures, drawings, and other commercial catalog or marketing material. Tentative issue date for RFQ is on or about April 5, 2001. A firm fixed priced purchase order will be issued. Anticipated award will be on or about April 18, 2001. Request for RFQ, with the detailed specifications and statement of work, shall be in writing, stating RFQ number S0100325, complete, company name, point of contact, address, area code and telephone number, and facsimile number.
