Description

This is a combined synopsis and solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Request For Quotation (RFQ) number is N66604-01-Q-2721. Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-21. NAICS Code is 334111; size standard is 1,000. NUWC Division Newport intends to purchase the following items: Panoram Technologies PV230 DSK/HP KAYAK Desktop Visualization Display, Kayak XU800 Minitower, 16-bit PCI Integrated Audio, HP SCSI Cable Kit for XU800 Minitower, 1.44MB Floppy Disk Drive, Micro Tower, 3- 3D Lab GVX1 (2 PCI & 1 AGP), 18 GB Ultra 160 M SCSI (10,000rpm), Multimedia Keyboard, HP 10/100BT PCI Network Card, 2x 512MB ECC RDRAM (PC800), HP Scrolling Mouse, 1 CD-ROM (48x) and 1 CD-RW (4x/2x/20x), 48X Max Variable CD-ROM Drive, Dual Processor Pentium 10000MHz/133MHz/256KB, HP Voltage Regulator Module 8.4 (for 2nd processor), 3 year Premium Warranty (3 years on-Site HP Service and parts; Quantity 1 each; PV290 DSK/HP Kayak, PV290 Desktop Combo, same configuration; Quantity 3 each. Each of the PV230 and 290 configurations require Microsoft NTFS for Windows NT/Windows 2000; The PV230 also requires Microsoft Windows NT with NTFS and Microsoft Windows 2000. The PV290 requires Microsoft Windows NT (SP5). Required delivery is 7-14 days after award, F.O.B. Destination Naval Station Newport; Newport, RI. This acquisition is sole source make and model because Panoram provides three flat screens tied tightly together to form a single image and supports specialized software (MUSE).
