Description

The USDA Forest Service, Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests, Black Mesa Ranger District, Navajo County, Arizona requires pre-commercial thinning, fuelwood harvest and chipping of the resultant slash on 11 units totaling approximately 146 acres. Approximately 142 acres to be thinned and chipped and approximately 4 acres to be thinned and slash dragged and piled in an erosion channel.The project area can be reashed from the Black Mesa Ranger District take SH 260 east 11.5 miles to the Ricochet Ranch Road and turn south. The project is located south of SH 260 and ease and west of the Ricochet Ranch Road. Plans and specifications will be available on or about April 10, 2001. Estimated price range is $25,000 to $99,999.
