Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for noncommercial services prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 13, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number N00164-00-Q-0148 applies and is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The proposed contract is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-20 and DCN 20001025. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 811219 and the business size standard is $5.0 (annual revenues). This requirement is as follows: CLIN 0001 -- Maintenance, repair and calibration of Government owned Spectral Dynamics Digital Vibration Control and Monitoring Systems, Models 2550 and 2552. Period of performance will be April 1, 2001 through March 31, 2002. SEE LINK TO STATEMENT OF WORK, 8 pages. This requirement is being solicited on a sole-source basis with Spectral Dynamics, 1983 Concourse Drive, San Jose, CA 95131, due to the proprietary control system software and associated circuit cards which can only be serviced by their field service representatives. Final inspection will be at NSWC CRANE. All responsible sources may submit a quote that will be considered by the Agency. A Firm-Fixed Price purchase order will be awarded using Simplified Acquisition Procedures.
