Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate on behalf of the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) with Office Sources of Gaithersburg, Maryland on a sole source basis under the authority of FAR Part 13.106-1(b), Soliciting from a single source, for the purchase of modular workstation furniture. Office Sources is the only source who can fulfill this requirement because the furniture being purchased must match the existing furniture at NTIA that was purchased from Office Sources. The delivery time for this requirement is 30 days after receipt of order and the delivery shall be FOB Destination to Washington, D.C. The Government anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price purchase order. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit quotes by March 30, 2001. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. A Request for Quotation (RFQ) package is not available. This requirement is a small business set-aside. The NAICS code for this requirement is 337211 with a size standard of 500 employees. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
