Description

1. Project consists of construction of a complete and usable 19 m2 gate-house with a standing seam metal roof canopy that extends over 4 lanes of traffic, replace approximately 2,500 meters of two lane country road with 3 to 4 lane road and pedestrian walkway. Project includes associated utilities, storm drainage system, landscaping, fencing, sidewalks, concrete curbing, traffic control devices, and lighting. Wetland mitigation and demolition of the existing gate-house is included in this project. AVAILABILITY: This Solicitation will be issued as an Electronic Bid Set (EBS) on CD-ROM format only. EBS CD-ROM disks with plans and specs available on or about 29 May 01 at no charge per set. EBS CD-ROM disks will be issued on a first come, first serve basis until supply is exhausted. No phone or FAX requests accepted. Firms desiring consideration must register Via the internet at the following address: http://www.nws.usace.army.mil/ct. Offerors are responsible for checking the referenced page for any update(s) to the Notice. The website is occasionally inaccessible due to maintenance. The Government is not responsible for any loss of Internet connectivity or for an offeror's inability to access the document posted at the referenced website. After the solicitation is issued, compact disks will be mailed to registered firms. Register at the web site at least 7 calendar days before the issue date to assist in having an adequate number of disks made. EBS CD-ROMs may also be picked up from the Seattle District's Contracting Division located at 4735 East Marginal Way South, Seattle, WA, Monday through Friday between the hours at 7:30 AM and 3:30 PM. Submit requests by 18 May 01. Estimated dollar value is in the range of $1,000,000 to $5,000,000 and completion period is 365 days. The Standard Industrial Classification System Code (SIC) has been replaced by the North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS). The NAICS Code for this procurement is 23499, which is matched to SIC Code Y1629. Project is 100% set-a-side for small business concerns. For the purposes of this procurement a concern is considered a small business if its average gross annual revenue, taken for the last 3 fiscal years, does not exceed $27.5 million or less. This is a Request for Proposal, and a firm fixed-price contract will be negotiated as a result of this procurement.
