Description

This synopsis is being issued in the Commerce Business Daily for any contractor's who are interested in manufacturing the following: DESC: NSN: 5120-01-452-5904, Part Number 12524402, Quantity: 56, Item: Spanner Wrench for the M242 Gun. The spanner wrench is manufactured from inch thick 4340 alloy bar per MIL-S-5000, 3.942 inch x 3.10 inches, heat treat, magnetic particle inspection, temper etch inspection and supplemental treatment with preservative conforming to MIL-C-16173, Grade 3. NSN: 1005-01-170-1982, Part Number 12524089, Quantity: 443, Item: Sear Assembly. The Sear assembly includes a steel sear arm, spring pins, steel sear rocker and washers. Alloy steel per MIL-S-8844, Class 3, and 4340 AMS 6415 Required. Magnetic particle inspection and finish with a supplementary treatment of oil per MIL-L-3160. NSN: 1005-01-088-4403, Part Number 12524084, Quantity: 87, Item: Dog Clutch. The Dog clutch R.H. is close tolerance machined parts from 18% nickel maraging steel per MIL-S-46850. Alternate material is 4340 steel. Magnetic Particle, heat treat and finish per 30.7 of MIL-STD-171 is required. The part is approximate 1.42 inches x 1.30 inches . .34 inches. First Article Test and Test Report are required for this procurement. Acceptance Inspection Equipment clause will be incorporated. The proposed solicitation will be firm fixed price. FOB is Destination. Estimated issue date is 13 Apr 2001. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.501, 5.102(a)(7) and 14.205-1(c) therefore hardcopies will not be provided. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same. This solicitation incorporates a Technical Data Package (TDP) that cannot be provided via the Internet.
