Description

The U.S. Army Soldier and Biochemical Command intends to award a purchase order to Kaye Instruments, Inc., 15 Deangelo Drive, Bedford, MA 01730-2203 on a basis of other than full and open competition [reference FAR Subpart 6.302-1 (b)] for the Validator 2000 portable Validation System with a sensor input module which records and calculates thermal data for canned food processing in order to verify the safety of canned foods. The current validation units (Digistrip III) are outdated and can no longer be serviced. The Validator 2000 is the only known unit on the commercial market which meets FDA requirements (21CFR Part 11). The Validator 2000 is currently procured sole source by the FDA and other Government agencies. No quotation document is available.
