Description
Sources Sought. Bechtel Nevada is seeking sources that can provide wound Amorphous Metal ribbon material (Metglas Alloy 2605C0 annealed. Metglas cores will be used in a linear type induction accelerator to couple a voltage pulse to the beam line. They function as an impedance matching transformer whose secondary voltage accelerates particles in the beam. The material will be wound on user supplied hardware. The Metglas Alloy 2605Co annealed, shall have the following properties: Saturation Induction: 1.80 Curie Temperature: 415 C Electrical Resistivity: 123 mW cm Saturation Magnetostriction: 35 X10-6 Permeability, annealed: 400,000 max-DC Density: 7.56g/cm3 Yield Strength: 7X108 N/m2 Elastic Modulus: 60 x109 N/m2 Continuous Service Temperature: 125 C Lamination Factors: 75% Vicker's Hardness, Hv-50g load: 810 Further Description: Supplied spool -- (463.55mm ID, 943.6mm OD, 50.8mm HT) Ribbon -- (Annealed (.9mm) 2605CO, electrically continuous Mylar 8 micron capacitor grade Pack Factor 60%, w/a best effort 65% Magnetic spec.
