Description

This is a synopsis for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only synopsis and a written solicitation will NOT be issued. RFQ01C-11 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The synopsis documentationand incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-32. The Library of Congress has a requirement to purchase the following equipment, quantity of 2 each. #ASX-200BX Backbone ATM Switch; AC Configuration, 2.5 Gbps non-blocking ATM switching fabric 1 switch module, 4 network module slots, redundant AC power supplies, 1 Pentium 166 Mhz switch control processor (64MB DRAM 8 MB Flash); #NM-4/155MMSCE, Four port OC-3c MM SC connector; #FTA-200-EBm ForeThought Enterprise License, ASX-200BX; #NMMA-8/DS1D, IMA Network Modules; 8 Ports Universal DS1: #218-0143-000 2-Port ATM OC-3c 155M-SX Module (850nm). All items shall be delivered within thirty days after Receipt of Order (ARO). FOB: Destination, Library of Congress, Receiving Unit, Landover Center Annex, 1701 Brightseat Road, Landover, MD 20785. The following provision apply to this acquisition: 52.212-1 Instruction to Offeror -- Commercial Item, 52.212-2 Evaluation -- Commercial Item, 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Item (under this clause the following clauses have been modified by the Library of Congress: 52.233-1 Deputes, 52.232-25 Prompt Payments. These clauses shall be available upon written request) Offerors shall include a complete copy of the provisions at 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Item with its offer. The clauses 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes of Executive Orders -- Commercial Item applies to this acquisition (under this clauses the follwing clauses have been modified by the Library of Congress: 52.223-3 Convict Labor and 52.215-2 Audit and Records-Negotiation. These clauses shall be available upon written request.) The following clauses 52.222-35 Affirmative Action for Handicapped Workers; 52.225-3 Buy American Act-Supplies and 52.211-5 New Material. RFQ shall be submitted on company letterhead or fax to 202-707-8611 NO LATER THAN April 18, 2001.
