Description

The Directorate of contracting, headquarters Materiel systems Group, is preparing to issue an RFP (FA8770-01-R-0027) for the "Keystone Decision Support System." Please reference the CBD Sources Sought published on 27Nov00 and Presolicitation notice published 19Jan01. An RFP will be issued to those companies whose Capabilities Statement, submitted from the CBD sources sought published 27Nov00, demonstrated their ability to successfully perform the effort. The performance period of any resultant contract is expected to be from contract award through 30Oct02 with 3 twelve month options. Any resultant contract will be on a Cost Plus Award Fee Basis (CPAF). The estimated RFP release date is approximately 15 days from publication of this announcement in the CBD. An ombudsman has been appointed to address concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The Ombudsman does not diminish the authority of the Program Manager or Contracting Officer, but communicates contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman shall maintain strict confidentiality as to the source of the concern.
