- Description
- VA Medical Center, Canandaigua, NY is seeking qualified small business firms with the capacity and capability to provide all necessary labor, supervision, transportation, materials, tools, supplies, equipment, incidental engineering and management required to perform the inspections, testing, maintenance, minor repair and component replacement as required to ensure reliable and continuous safe operation of elevator equipment systems in accordance with commercial practices or, if available, the manufacturer's original specifications. Work includes the performance of service work, preventative maintenance of equipment, routine and periodic inspections and tests, and other services as described in the specifications. REQUIRED: Emergency service requires a two hour on-site response time. Manufacturer's of the elevators are Canton, Dover, Esco, Deleware, Otis, Hollister Whitney, Montgomery-Miprom. There are both electric and hydraulic systems. North American Industry Classification(NAICS) code for this acquisition is 235950, Building Equipment and Other Machinery Istallation Contractors. Small business size standard is $11.5 million. The period of performance is for a base period of one year with four one-year options. The total performance period will not exceed five years. Service to commence on or about October 1, 2001. Procurement made using FAR 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and source selection methods for awards.
