Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst, NJ (NAWCADLKE) intends to enter into sole source negotiations with The Boeing Company, St. Louis, MO for the acquisition of technical support for FLASHJET Systems Operation at Warner Robins -- Air Logistics Center to extend the current services for a period of twenty (20) months beginning approximately 01 December 2001. NAWCADLKE's intention is to procure this service as a modification to Delivery Order 0003 under NAWCADLKE's Basic Ordering Agreement N68335-00-G-0255. The technical operator will be qualified to refine existing part programs as well as develop programs for new parts. This person will be qualified to provide additional operator training, perform basic equipment maintenance and serve as the focal point for equipment maintenance. In addition, this person will be qualified as an operator and/or operator assistant/safety observer. NAWCADLKE intends to procure this service under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1) as implemented in FAR 6.302-1. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit a proposal, which may be used by the Government in determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open their requirement to competition is based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. SEE NUMBERED Note 22
