Description

The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, Washington, DC, seeks proposals for exhibition graphic design services in support of a large-scale exhibition project. The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, facilities, and transportation except as otherwise specified necessary to It is anticipated this requirement will awarded as a Time and Materials Contract The Successful Offeror Shall 1. Develop concepts and designs of graphic treatments for text, photographs, maps, and other visual elements to enhance the interpretive quality of a special exhibition; 2. Prepare materials and fully developed design and treatment samples for presentation, review, and approval; and 3.Prepare production-ready digital and mechanical materials for delivery to an exhibition fabricator with clear production specifications. Because of the highly collaborative nature of the project with Museum exhibitions staff, this solicitation is limited to offerors from the Washington (D.C.) Baltimore (Md.) metropolitan areas. The work requires knowledge of, and minimum of five (5) years past performance in, the techniques and methods of designing and producing two-dimensional exhibition materials for three-dimensional temporary display, as well as proven experience in creating artwork mechanically and digitally. The solicitation is for a period of performance from June 11, 2001, through April 30, 2002. Award will be made to the responsive, responsible offeror after evaluation of technical criteria and price. It is estimated that evaluation and award will be made by June 1, 2001.
