13 ORDERS TOTAL/QUANTITIES: 1, 1, 1, 1, 71, 10, 6, 2, 9, 15, 6, 5, & 10/TOTAL QUANTITY: 138 NSN:8010-01-316-6741 UI: KT PAINT SYSTEM, ANTICORROSIVE AND ANTIFOULING, SHIP HULL: In accordance with Military Specification MIL-P-24647B, dated April 2, 1991, and Amendment 1, dated August 9, 1994. QPL-24647-5, dated October 26, 1998. Type I -- Paint system having topcoats of ablative antifouling paints. Class 1A -- Paint system having copper based toxics in the antifouling topcoats. Paint systems for use on metal substrates, except aluminum alloys. Grade A -- Volatile organic content (VOC) of the antifouling topcoats shall be a maximum of 3.4 pounds per gallon [lb/gal; 400 grams per liter (g/L)]. Application: 1 -- Paint systems having red color antifouling for underwater hull, with a service life of five years, and; Application: 2 -- Paint systems having black color antifouling for waterline (boottop) of hull, with a service life of five years. Coat 1. Devoe Bar Rust 235 Low Temp AC (Red). QPL Qualification Required: QPL-24647-4, dated September 16, 1997. A shipping pail containing a minimum of 15.1 Liters (4 gallons) Component A and a can containing a minimum of 3.78 Liters (1 gallon). The maximum age on delivery shall not exceed three months. Date of reinspection shall be 24 months from date of manufacture.
