Description
The Corporation for National and Community Service, a wholly owned Government Corporation, intends to award a contract to a qualified vendor who can provide lodging, conference space and meals for an AmeriCorps*VISTA Leader's Training. This training will take place in the metropolitan Albuquerque, NM area May 20-25, 2001. Registration: Two large tables set up in the assigned registration area outside the main meeting room beginning at 2:00pm on May 20th and remaining until conference conclusion. A message board should be set up and left in the registration area throughout the conference. Sleeping rooms: Five (5) doubles for May 19th. Twenty (20) doubles May 20-24 (five nights). Meeting space: One (1) office or suite May 19-25, 2001. One (1) general session May 20-25, 2001 set in rounds of eight (8) for forty- five (45) participants. Three (3) break out rooms and or suites with two (2) round tables for ten (10) participants May 21-25, 2001. Meals: Dinner for fifty (50) participants from 6:00-8:30pm on May20, 2001. Dinner for fifty (50) participants from 5:30-7:00pm May 21-24, 2001. Full breakfast for fifty (50) participants from 6:45-8:00am May 21-25, 2001. Lunch for fifty (50) participants from 12:00-1:00pm May 21-25, 2001. Refreshments: To be served each morning and afternoon of the training. Morning breaks may consist of refreshing coffee and tea at breakfast and light snacks; afternoon breaks should include cold drinks, coffee, tea and light snacks. Menus must be included in your proposal. Equipment: One (1) projector screen and one (1) overhead projector in general session. One (1) flip chart at registration area. Two (2) flip charts in general session and one (1) flip chart in each breakout. Rental expenses for A/V equipment must be included in your proposal. Transportation: Shuttle service available to and from area airports on May 20th and May 25th, 2001. Miscellaneous: In submitting a bid for these services, please quote a price/guest/day. Only sleeping room rental, meeting room rental, and scheduled meeting costs for these guests should be included in this solicitation. Incidentals: The guests will pay personal expenses (telephone calls, room service, etc.) themselves. Special requirements: Meeting rooms and at least 25% of sleeping rooms must be accessible to physically challenged individuals. At least 25 % of the attendees at meals will be vegetarians or vegans. Federal regulations require that any hotel/conference space contracted shall comply with the American Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements and the FEMA, Fire Prevention and Control guidelines. All proposed prices must be inclusive. For example: audio-visual rentals and the cost of food must include gratuity, if applicable. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is HQMWR0108 and is issued as a request for a quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and the incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-23. The provisions at 52.212.1, Instructions to Offerors Commerical, applies to this acquisition. Offeror must include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items with its offer. This is a best value procurement and evaluation of offers will be based on quality, past performance and price. References must be included with your offer. The clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. The clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statues or Executive Orders Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. The following clauses listed in 52.212-5 (b) and (c) are included by reference: 52.222-21; 52.222-22; 52.222-23; 52.222-41; 52.225-3; and 52.232-34. Proposals must be submitted in writing, signed by a person authorized to negotiate on behalf of the proposer with the Government and sent to the address in this announcement.
