Description

GRAND FORKS PHASE #1 LEVEE, DOWNTOWN, GRAND FORKS FLOOD CONTROL PROJECT -- This procurement is being issued for full and open competition and solicited utilizing sealed bid procedures. The applicable NAICS code is 234990 with a small business size standard of $27.5 million. In the event the selected bid exceeds $1,000,000 and is from a large business, it will be necessary for that firm to submit a subcontracting plan that is acceptable to the Government prior to award. Principle features of the work include all plant, labor, materials and supplies required for construction of approximately 7,000 linear feet of earth levee, interior storm drainage including four pump stations, stoplog closures, recreation facilities including a building, park equipment and trails and related sitework. All work will have to be completed 660 calendar days after receiving the notice to proceed. Estimated order of magnitude of the requirement is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. It is anticipated that the Invitation for Bid (IFB) DACW37-01-B-0003 will be posted to the US Army Corps of Engineers St Paul District World Wide Web site at http://mvpwww.mvp.usace.army.mil/ebs/AdvertisedSolicitations.asp on or about 20 April 2001. The official solicitation is available only by CD-ROM. Ordering of the CD-ROM shall be made by registering for it at the above web site. An unofficial version of the solicitation will be posted on the District's website. Telephone requests will not be accepted.
