Description

This project consists of road construction, reconstruction, and renovation of the Yakutat Dunes Picnic Area. The project includes clearing and grubbing, individual removal of trees, minor structure excavation, composite road construction, reinforced soil embankment, furnishing and placing pit run and crushed aggregate, reconditioning of existing roadbed, installing government-furnished grill and pre-manufactured restroom, furnishing and installing road closure devices and other miscellaneous work. The project is located approximately 12 kilometers southwest of Yakutat, Alaska. Contract time is 60 days. The price range for this project is $100,000 to $250,000. The solicitation will be posted to the Tongass National Forest Homepage for viewing and printing on or about April 16, 2001. The closing date for receipt of proposals will be approximately 30 days after the issue date of the solicitation.
