Description

The Wayne National Forest anticipates contracting for the Vesuvius Dam Rehabilitation on the Ironton Ranger District, Lawrence County, Ohio. The project consists of installation of Roller Compacted Concrete on the crest and downstream face of the dam; removal and replacement of the topsoil on the dam; removal and reconstruction of the existing concrete spillway; and replacement of two (2) pedestrian bridges with steel bridges in the same location. The contract time is 300 calendar days from issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The government estimate is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. Drawings and specifications will be available on or about April 23, 2001 for a non-refundable cost of $75.00. Checks or money orders should be made out to the USDA, Forest Service and sent to the issuing activity along with a mailing address and phone number. All responsible sources may submit a bid for consideration.
