Description

DESC: 1005-01-432-9538, Part Number 12977102. The item to procure is a Cover Feed Mech used on the M240 Machine Gun. This is a cover frame with optical sight and rollers assembly. Consisting of a optical sight cover made of investment casting aluminum , A357.0-T6 or wrought material aluminum alloy, 2014-T6. Steel parts include feed channel pivot, cover catch pivot, upper roller, lower roller, roller pivot, line pivot, spring guides and flat metals. Finish 24.17 of MIL-STD-171, using type 2 primer permil-p-23377, followed by lustress black no. 377038 of FED-STD-595. The approximate size is 10.26 inches X 3.39 inches X 1.34 inches. Quality Assurance provisions requirements. Heavy phosphate coating is required. Requirements are 300 Cover Feed Mech. The proposed contract will include a 100 percent evaluated option. FOB is Destination. Estimated issue date is on or about 19 April 2001. The proposed contract is Total Small Business Set-Aside. THE TECHNICAL DATA PACKAGE (TDP) FOR THIS SOLICITATION AND ANY RESULTING CONTRACT INCLUDES DOCUMENTS THAT ARE PROPRIETARY TO FN HERSTAL. DISCLOSURE AND USE OF THE TDP ARE RESTRICTED BY THE NON-DISCLOSURE AND NON-USE AGREEMENT THAT THE OFFEROR HAS EXECUTED PRIOR TO RECEIPT OF THE TDP. A TECHNICAL DATA PACKAGE (TDP) WILL NOT BE PROVIDED AS PART OF THE SOLICITATION. TO OBTAIN A COPY OF THE TDP, A PROSPECTIVE OFFEROR MUST SIGN A NON-DISCLOSURE AGREEMENT. AFTER SIGNATURE THE NON-DISCLOSURE AGREEMENT SHOULD BE FAXED TO (309)782-3813, ATTN: SHERI GROSS. AFTER RECEIPT OF THE NON-DISCLOSURE AGREEMENT A COPY OF THE TDP WILL BE MAILED BY REGULAR MAIL. THE NON-DISCLOSURE AGREEMENT IS AN ATTACHMENT TO THE SOLICITATION. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.501, 5.102(a)(7) and 14.205-1(c) therefore hardcopies will not be provided.
