Description

Negotiations will be conducted with TSI, Inc., St. Paul, MN, for one (1) Model 3080L Electrostatic Classifier. TSI, Inc. is the sole manufacturer and seller of the 3080L Electrostatic Classifier. The NIOSH PRL Dust Lab needs this instrument for research, development, and evaluation of dust monitors that detect particles in the submicrometer size range. This is the only known Electrostatic Classifier that can perform in accordance with the following specifications: particle type: solids and nonvolatile liquids; particle size range: 10 to 1000 nanometers; maximum concentration: 10 exp 8 particles/cubic centimeters at 10 nanometers; voltage: 10 to 10,000 volts; flow rate: sheath air 2 to 20 L/min, aerosol 0.2 to 2 L/min; Differential Mobility Analyzer: model 3081 long; height: 24 inches; outside diameter: 3 inches.
