Description
DESC: THE U.S. ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY IS ISSUING THIS COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN SUBPART 12.6, AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLICITATION; QUOTES ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The solicitation number is RFQ-RT-01-00240 and the solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quote solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-23. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) anticipates that the contract will be awarded as a result of full and open competition. A firm-fixed-price purchase order is anticipated to result from the award of this solicitation. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 443120. This procurement is for the acquisition of maintenance for hardware and software for Liebert Site Scan Environmental Monitoring Systems at three (3 ea.) EPA sites. This maintenance includes: One annual PM inspection scheduled by the customer between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM Monday through Friday (excluding national holidays). Services includes all parts, labor, and travel related expenses and telephone support. This requirement is a follow-on to purchase order number 0D-5099-NTLX which will expire on April 30, 2001. The follow-on period of performance shall be from May 1, 2001 through April 30, 2002. Quotes are due by 4:00 PM EST on April 18, 2001. Request for Quote RFQ-RT-01-00240 and amendments (if any) will be available via the Internet at http://www.epa.gov/oam/rtp_cmd. Firms are encouraged to access the solicitation and amendments via the Internet. If you obtain a copy of the solicitation via the Internet, it will be your responsibility to frequently check the same site where the solicitation is posted for any amendment. Firms who do NOT have the capability to obtain the solicitation from the Internet may submit a written request for a diskette with the solicitation in WordPerfect 9.0 format from the contact point at the address above. However, only those firms who do NOT have the capability to obtain the solicitation from the Internet should request a copy of the diskette. Interested vendors shall: 1) include information on the proposed services which clearly supports the requirements outlined in above and in RFQ-RT-01-00240.
