Description
BIA-MOO-01-02-Furnish all labor, services, equipment, and all incidentals necessary to fell approximately 188 acres of burnt dead stand on the east side of the Rio Grande River and 25 acres on the west side of the river on the Isleta Pueblo Indian Reservation, Valencia County, New Mexico. The purpose of this treatment is to implement an integrated pest management method to control non-native plant invasion as part of the rehabilitation activities. The treatment involves felling, clearing, and piling, and cutting into segments burned cottonwood trees, Russian olive, and salt cedar -- Estimated price range $75,000 to $300,000 -- IFB issue date on or about April 19, 2001 -- Bid Opening Date set for May 23, 2001 at 3:00 P.M. (MDT) -- This procurement is totally set-aside for small businesses. Section 7(b) of P.L. 93-638 (Indian Self-Determination Act) requires that prime contractors give preference opportunities in employment and training to Indian/Alaska Native economic enterprises. Failure by the contractor to submit a plan for doing so prior to award and implement same after award shall be sufficient reason for non-award or termination of the contract for default.
