Description

The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) intends to procure on a full and open competitive basis, professional pension benefit administration services for defined benefit pension plans trusteed by PBGC. The pension benefit administration services sought include, but are not limited to: establishing and maintaining participant data; processing and authorizing benefit payments to eligible participants and beneficiaries; processing deceased notifications, address and direct deposit changes; issuing benefit determination letters; maintaining participant documentation; performing plan closing and ongoing administration activities. The anticipated period of performance will be for a base year starting October 1, 2001 plus four (4) one-year option periods. Place of performance will be Miami, FL. Telephone requests for this solicitation will NOT be honored. All requests shall reference Solicitation No. PBGC-RP-01-0011. All responsible parties submitting a proposal will be considered by the agency. The solicitation document will be distributed through the FedBizOpps.gov web site. The site contains downloading instructions. All information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed through the FedBizOpps site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the site to assure that they have the most up to date information about this acquisition. All firms obtaining a copy of the solicitation from FedBizOpps must notify the contract specialist at Johnson.JaniceD@pbgc.gov. This notification must include the firm's name, address, contact person and phone number. Interested parties may obtain a hard copy of this solicitation by requesting in writing to the PBGC or via the contract specialist e-mail address. Be sure to reference the RFP No. and the complete address, contact person and phone number. The estimated issue date of this solicitation is on or about April 26, 2001.
