Description

NASA and the USGS will conduct a second Landsat Data Continuity Mission (LDCM) workshop on April 23 -- 24, 2001. The workshop will be held in the America's Center / Adams Mark Hotel, St. Louis, Missouri, in coordination with the 2001 American Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ASPRS) Annual Conference. This workshop will be a follow-up to the initial LDCM workshop held January 09 -- 10, 2000, at USGS Headquarters, Reston, Virginia. The primary purpose of the workshop will be to review the revised first draft of the LDCM Data Specification. The agenda will consist of a brief introduction of the government's expectations and timeline for the LDCM procurement, followed by a sequence of presentations on each section of the Specification with opportunities for audience response, comments, and questions. The LDCM Data Specification is currently under revision on the basis of comments received during the first workshop or received through the LDCM web site. We plan to place the revised specification on the web site two weeks prior to the second workshop. Please visit the LDCM web site after April 06 for more information and for registration.
