Description

Contractor shall furnish all labor, material and supervision to effect plaza repairs at the Leo O'Brien Federal Bldg., Albany, NY in accordance with drawings and specifications. Work to include, but is not limited to, removing approximately 4400 square yards of concrete pavement and existing waterproofing systems beneath pavement, installing new waterproofing system covered with new precast concrete pavers, repair and resurface of concrete fascia located at perimeter of plaza deck and removing asbestos-containing transite base from concrete walls surrounding plaza area. Concrete planter boxes will also be removed and concrete surfaces repaired. Work will be conducted in two (2) phases so that public access to the building will be maintained. This procurement is offered on an unrestricted basis pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. The magnitude of this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The IFB will include a 10% Price Evaluation Preference (PEP) for HUBZone small businesses pursuant to FAR 52.219-4 and an additional 10% Price Evaluation Adjustment (PEA) for small disadvantaged businesses pursuant to FAR 52.219-23 Alt. II from the states of CT, IA, KS, MA, ME, MN, MO, NE, NH, ND, RI, SD and VT. The applicable NAICS code is 235710, size standard $11.5 Million. Contract performance period is 120 calendar days. Solicitation release date is on or about May 1, 2001 with Bid Opening Date on or about June 4, 2001. The solicitation, amendments to the solicitation and specifications will only be available for downloading on the FedBizOpps website at; http: www2.eps.gov/spg/GSA/PBS/2PMCU/postdate_1.h. Drawings will only be available in CD-ROM format upon formal request (email or facsimile) to this office. Contractors must provide a street address because CD's cannot be delivered to a PO box. Bidders are requested to provide their email address. Hard copies of drawings will be available for viewing at the Upstate Property Management Center, Syracuse, NY, at the Leo O'Brien Federal Bldg., Albany, NY or at participating plan rooms.
