Description
Background "Classroom and Facility Monitor for Education and Training Flight Statement of Work Scope Non-personal services: To provide part-time classroom and facility monitoring services Monday through Friday evenings and Saturdays for the Education and Training Flight in support of the on-base schools program. These duties are to be performed in buildings: 641/642/643 in the AFIT complex, Area B. Normal hours of operation for the night monitor will be 1700 to 2300 on weekdays and 0730 through 1730 on Saturdays. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, transportation and incidentals required to accomplish classroom and facility monitoring. Contractor Qualifications: The contractor shall -Possess as a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent. -Provide a resume that includes at least three (3) references. -Have the ability to plan, organize and prioritize work as well as meet deadlines. -Have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, in English Performance These duties are to be performed in buildings: 641/642/643 in the AFIT complex, Area B. Normal hours of operation for the night monitor will be 1700 to 2300 on weekdays and 0730 through 1730 on Saturdays. 1. The contractor shall perform visual/physical inspection of assigned classrooms and doors before class -- start time to ensure that the classroom is found to have a neat and orderly appearance. Contractor shall document the condition of the classroom on a checklist and note the classroom configuration. At the end of class, the contractor again shall perform visual/physical inspection of assigned classrooms to ensure they have been returned to the original configuration and are neat and orderly in appearance. 2. The contractor shall ensure that the scheduled classroom doors are locked/unlocked prior to and after class start and end times. A list of classroom numbers will be provided at the beginning of each quarter/semester. Normal hours of operation for the on-base schools are 1700 to 2300 on weekdays and 0730 to 1730 on Saturdays. Annotate any problems observed on the night monitor's checklist at the beginning and end of all class sessions. 3. Ensure the university/college's equipment is removed and stored in AFIT approved storage location after class sessions. 4. Report discrepancies within 24 hours to the Education and Training Flight for dissemination to appropriate school administrators and AFIT. 5. Ensure trash is placed in provided receptacles. 6. Ensure entrance doors and classrooms are locked after classroom use. 7. The contractor shall refrain from bringing children, friends, or other family members to the worksite. 8. Should the monitor observe any suspicious activity, or uncover evidence of a break-in or damaged property, the monitor shall call Base Security Forces (Ext 76516) and request an investigation. Monitor shall document the request for investigation and notify the Education and Training Flight within one workday. 9. In the event of an emergency situation that precludes the assigned contractor from performing duties on any class day, the contractor shall find a replacement and notify the Education and Training flight Director, or designee, of the substitution at least four hours before duty performance. (The Government should not, at any time, be expected/required to fulfill the duties of the contractor.) "
