Description

The Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest is seeking landline retracement services to re-establish boundary lines. Two contracts are anticipated. The Oconee National Forest contract will consist of 3.6 miles of line over four locations in the vicinity of Monticello GA. The Chattahoochee National Forest contract will consist of 18.6 miles of line over 25 locations scattered between Chatsworth GA and Toccoa GA. At any one location, line segments are no more than 2 miles long. As a result of ice storm damage some significant clearing may be required on certain lines. Work will be performed in accordance with Forest Service Southern Region standard specifications for landline retracement under the direction of a land surveyor registered in the state of Georgia. Work is expected to begin approximately September 15, 2001 with a performance time of 60 calendar days for the Oconee National Forest contract and 240 calendar days for the Chattahoochee National Forest contract. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION PACKAGE TO REQUEST; firms desiring consideration should submit Standard Forms 254 and 255 (two copies of each) by May 2, 2001 to USDA Forest Service, 1755 Cleveland Highway, Gainesville GA 30507.
