Description

This is an Invitation for Bids (IFB) for a project to construct a new water distribution system on the Six Rivers National Forest, Salyer Work Center. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, supervision, equipment, transportation and materials to perform all work specified therein. Construction shall include installation of buried water lines and appurtenances, construction of a metal treatment building, installation of new electrical service and government furnished water treatment plant. Additive bid items include the installation of a water storage tank, reconstruction of the existing access trail, replacement of the water collection line, development of the existing spring water source and replacement of the river intake structure and pump system. The project is located in Salyer, California. Salyer is located in Trinity County along State Highway 299, approximately 45 miles east of Eureka and approximately 100 miles west of Redding. Contract time is 120 calendar days with an estimated start work date of June 15, 2001. Price Range is between $250,000 -- $500,000. Bonding is required. Pre-bid tour date will be announced in the solicitation. Solicitation documents will be available approximately April 20. There is a fee of $15 for the solicitation documents.
