"FUNDS ARE CURRENTLY NOT AVAILABLE FOR THIS REQUIREMENT. OFFERORS ARE ADVISED THAT THE COST OF ANY RESPONSE TO OR OTHER COST INCURRED AS A RESULT OF THIS SOLICITATION IS AT THE OFFEROR'S OWN RISK UNLESS FUNDS ARE MADE AVAILABLE FOR THIS REQUIREMENT, CONTRACT WILL NOT BE AWARDED." The United States Air Force is requesting proposals for the Corrosion Control of three Diesel Fuel Storage Tanks at Cape Cod Air Force Station, MA. The scope of the project consists of the, but is not limited to: furnishing all services, labor, materials, equipment, tools and transportation and performance of all operations necessary to meet the requirements of a firm-fixed price contract at CCAFS, MA, in accordance with contract drawings and statement of work. The principal items of work include but are no limited to: Remove rust and corrosion from three (3) 40,000 gallon diesel fuel storage tanks and cradles; priming tanks and cradles; and applying a primary and secondary coat of enamel to the tanks and cradles. Contract work will also consist of applying a spray-on polyethylene tapered insulation material, and a spray-on, waterproof, petroleum resistant, urethane basecoat and topcoat to the top, outside area of the diesel fuel vaults, approximately 3400 SF. Contractor will be responsible for sealing all edgings and penetrations; and, extending, as necessary, all existing penetrations above the applied coatings. The site of the work is a confined space. All Federal, State and OSHA confined space safety procedures must be followed at all times. The magnitude of construction for this project is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. The period of performance for this project shall be 30 calendar days. The solicitation and specifications will be available ONLY from the Internet address: http://www.herbb.hanscom.af.mil. These items will not be mailed and telephone requests will not be honored. Drawings will either be mailed or made available on the Internet. Further information will be available at a later date. All interested parties MUST be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database in order to receive an award. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation, either before or after receipt of proposals, with no obligation to the offeror by the Government. An Acquisition Ombudsman, Colonel Joseph B. Magnone, Director, Commander's Staff, has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during proposal development. You should only contact the Ombudsman with issues or problems you cannot satisfactorily resolve with the program manager and/or contracting officer. The Ombudsman role is to hear concerns, issues and recommendations and communicate these to the appropriate government personnel. The Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality if desired.
