Description
AAC/WMGS would like to invite interested contractors to attend a DSU-33 Proximity Sensor Industry Day 16 May 01. The primary purpose of this Industry Day is to provide current and potential fuze contractors and weapon system contractors a comprehensive overview of current DSU-33 B/B status and requirements, available technical data (bidders' package), and draft acquisition strategy associated with the new procurement and support of DSU-33s. The meeting will be held in Building 11, Room 203, at Eglin AFB, FL. Registration will begin at 0730 hours. The Government will begin at 0800 hours with a brief overview of the topics mentioned above. It is AAC/WMGS' intention to grant all interested companies the opportunity to meet on a one on one basis with DSU-33 program personnel. Sessions will be scheduled on a first come first serve basis to discuss issues pertinent to this acquisition. The meetings will begin at 1300 hours and will be limited to a one-hour session for each company. If you are interested in participating in Industry Day, please provide the following information: company's name; list of attendees (limit 4 per company); your desire for a one on one session; and a visit request to Capt. Kurt Buchanan (FAX: 850-882-0877) no later than 7 May 01. All visit requests must include visitors' security clearance levels signed by your appropriate security manager. Clearances already on file will not be considered. To ensure we have a productive and informative meeting, the government anticipates releasing a Draft Request for Proposal (DRFP) NLT 7 May 2001 for your review and comments. Companies may send preliminary questions and comments regarding the DRFP and the overall acquisition to Captain Kurt N. Buchanan, Contract Specialist, or Ms. Ouida A. Winters, Contracting Officer, by FAX at (850) 882-0877. The Government will make every attempt to answer these questions during industry day and therefore requests your questions be submitted as early as possible prior to the 16th. The industry day agenda, Government responses to questions (preliminary, during the open meeting, and during one on one meetings: except for proprietary and competition sensitive information), and meeting minutes will be mailed to all participants 2 to 3 days after Industry Day. Information related to this procurement will be posted to the electronic posting system at www.eps.gov. For any additional information on the DSU-33 Industry Day, contact Mr. Kevin D. Morgan at (850) 882-9514, x3204.
