17.POTENTIAL SOURCES SOUGHT: The U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics center is seeking qualified sources that can provide the following: NSN 2010-01-F01-4625-Oil Distribution Box Assembly, Bird-Johnson Co. P/N E002RA07001, servo box used on the controllable pitch propeller system on the 210 WMEC B Class Coast Guard Vessel, estimated quantity is 1 EA. It is the Government_s belief that only Bird Johnson Co. can provide this item. However, other potential sources having the expertise and required capabilities can submit data discussing the same in duplicate within 15 days from the date of this announcement. The following information must be provided to evaluate the acceptability of the offered item: 1) Complete and current engineering data to demonstrate the acceptability of the offered items (i.e. salient physical, functional, and serviceability characterists, or 2) Data that the offered item has been satisfactorily manufactured for the Government or the original manufacturer. No cost or pricing data is required. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. This data must include sufficient information to allow the Coast Guard to evaluate the proposal relative to the above requirements. Concerns that respond to this notice must fully demonostrate the capability to accomplish the above and are to supply pertinent information in sufficient detail to demostrate a bonafide capability to meet the requirements. NSN 2010-01-F01-4625 _ Oil Distribution Box Assembly, Bird-Johnson Co. P/N E002RA07001, servo box used on the controllable pitch propeller system on the 210 WMEC B Class Coast Guard Vessel, estimated quantity is 1 EA. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only Bird Johnson Co. under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Material to be delivered F.O.B. Destination to U.S. Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Center, Receiving Room, Bldg. 86, 2401 Hawkins Point Road, Baltimore, MD 21226-5000. Delivery by 15 August 2001. See Numbered Note 26. When calling to request a solicitation package be prepared to state, name, address, and solicitation number. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency.
