Description

The U.S. Army Engineer District, Savannah, Georgia, intends to issue a solicitation primarily for the removal and installation of diesel engines and associated equipment at the Clemson Pumping Station, located adjacent to Clemson University Campus, Clemson, South Carolina. The general scope of work includes, but is not limited to: Remove two existing diesel engines including accessories and wiring; Provide and install two new diesel engines with all necessary ancillary equipment. The description of work also includes the following: 1) Provide the following mechanical equipment: Gear Cooling Water Filter, Slide Gate Operators, Trash Racks, Miscellaneous Sensors, and Automatic Grease System; 2) Install one Government-furnished Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) and one Government-furnished Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) including control wiring; 3) Provide miscellaneous electrical equipment and work to include, but not limited to, the installation of Battery and Charger, Rain Gauge, Water Level Monitoring Equipment, Fuel Tank Level Switch, Conduit, Control and Power wiring, Power Distribution Panels, Station Annunciator System, Engine Pump Control Panels, Motor Starters, Heater Contactors, Dry type Transformers, Switches, Relays, Sensors, Gauges, and miscellaneous items to provide a complete and functional system; 4) Provide Motor Starters for two 50 HP Drain Pumps, Motor Starters for two 1 HP Fuel Transfer Pumps, Motor Starters for two 1 HP Cooling Water Pumps, one 15 KVA Lighting Transformer, one 480 volt Disconnect Switch and one Main Distribution Panel (MDP). Replace switchgear control devices and wiring, complete with cabinet doors.
